The Belfast Cowboy story stems out of a chance meeting of two long haired 20 somethings, front row center stage of a 5440 concert in the quad at Carleton University. A rather tall and lanky red head and an equally tall and lanky blond head, standing next to each other struck up a conversation, discovering that they wrote and played music forged a friendship as the band walked on stage and struck their first cord. And the rest is history.
Greg Brayford and Michael Peterson’s dream then was to play as many places as they could on campus before slipping past the gates and into Ottawa’s core. The decided to call themsleves Belfast Cowboys from
